Writer's Block: Choose a Power

  • Jun. 27th, 2008 at 11:13 PM

If you could have the power to fly, be invisible, or teleport anywhere, which would you choose?

i think i would want to fly, just cuz it would be rad. but i would be afraid of pollution, as well as running into planes and birds. plus it would be difficult to carry records/gear, so perhaps teleportation?

OMG

"U.S. Marine helicopters will land at the old Eastgate Consumer Mall, Brookside Park and other Indianapolis locations when the city becomes a mock battlefield next week.

About 2,300 Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., will conduct urban warfare training from Wednesday through June 19 in and around Indianapolis.

Most of the troops will be deployed at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and the Raytheon facility on Holt Road, said Debbi Fletcher of the Indianapolis/Marion County Emergency Management Agency.

“We don’t want anyone thinking that there’s an invasion happening or that we declared martial law or something like that,” Fletcher said."

Oh? Really? Whatever would make us think that martial law could happen?

This is fucked up. I don't remember the Indianapolis public having a say in whether their own backyard could be used for fucking urban combat training.

Assholes.

In fact, you enjoy taking risks and doing things most people would shy away from.

...i do the occasional blogging elsewhere. i am just as lazy about updating those too, but this one is new and kinda fun.

http://sapphicbeats.blogspot.com/

this is where i will posting random mixes, tidbits about new artists i find and the occasional rant about muso myopia and such things. some good stuff posted there already (HIGHLY recommend the breakfast in bed chilloutish mixes), so head on ovah.

occasionally there are things at these blogs too:
http://caffeinejournals.blogspot.com
http://feminizzle.blogspot.com

those require a bit more thinkin' power. sometimes i manage that.

i think it's extremely wack that after surviving the flu-ish delight of my body trying to purge EVERYTHING that is on the inside (from every place possible, i might add) to the outside, that now it is followed by sniffley/coughy/achey flu-ishness.

They didn't volunteer to be stop-lossed involuntarily and sent back over and over, you fucking piece of shit.

Not only does he flippantly say they volunteered, but he says the biggest burden is on Pres. Bush, who "had" to send them to war.

Fuck you Cheney. Just...fuck you.
